I wanted to do something for our troops and our country. This is why we created the “Bring our Troops Home” (B.O.T.H.) magnetic peace sign. As a former U.S. Navy, Vietnam-era, Submarine Veteran, and current U.S. Navy civil servant, I feel very deeply the personal sacrifice that our men and women in the military give everyday to our country; I see it in their faces, their uniforms and in our flag. We want to honor them by selling these magnetic peace signs as a fund raiser, to help support some web based support groups that stand behind our troops, and their families.
The hand symbol is an old fashioned way of saying “Peace”, peace for our troops and our country, and peace to the world. The yellow color is to symbolize the hope we feel when we send our troops overseas and put them in harms way. Our customs from the past used a yellow ribbon to welcome home men and women who have been away for along time under adverse or particularly difficult circumstances such as war or prison. The stars and strips in the background are a symbol of the flag of our country and the freedoms we enjoy. The message, "Bring our Troops Home" is for our troops who went, saw, fought and who did the job that was we asked of them, and now it is time for them to proudly come home in peace. Their war is over.
As a member of Veterans for Peace it is our duty to honor the warrior, but not the War.
I invite you, as a veteran, to “Bring One” and join us as a Veteran for Peace. Information on the VFP websight below.
A percentage of the sale of the magnets and stickers will be donated to: Hero Bracelets, Gold Star Families for Peace, Veterans for Peace, Fisher House, and Operation We Care. The remainder of each magnet or sticker sold is for operations, production and free shipping.
If you have any comments or questions, please email us, and thank you for your generous support.
May Peace be with you,
